Paul Jean Anderbouhr has been a regular contributor to the Salon des Artistes Français since 1934 and the Salon d'Automne since 1937. Anderbouhr is recognized as an impressionist whose quick brush strokes, splashes and dabs of color result in works reflecting motion and mood while maintaining an underlying sense of serenity and harmony. Anderbouhr has been recognized with numerous awards and was given his first one-artist exhibition (one of eleven such shows) with the prestigious Durand-Ruel Gallery in Paris. He exhibited his work in Germany, Japan, Morroco, England and in the United States, namely in Dallas, Palm Beach, New York and Philadelphia. Paul Jean Anderbouhr is best known for his cityscapes of Paris with a predilection for the banks of the Seine River.
